Seminary 2013

This is the second year I have had to get up early to attend seminary! It was Ammon's first year last year, and was held at Tissa's house. Anne-Marie was the teacher until Tissa took over for the last half of the year to give Anne-Marie a break. To be honest, I was dreading seminary, as I have to get up at 5 am, and this is no easy task when you suffer from insomnia. Some mornings, I wouldn't get to sleep until 2 or 3 in the morning! Sigh. We managed to do it though and not only am I proud of myself for dragging myself from bed every morning, I am extremely proud of Ammon as most mornings it was him who woke me up to get ready. The only problem we had was Ammon falling asleep in school. I was constantly getting emails from his teachers concerned that he wasn't getting enough sleep. It was a challenge for  him, as he suffers from small bouts of insomnia too. He would go to bed at 8 pm and still be awake at 11:30. Teenagers need LOTS of sleep at this stage of their life as this is when growth hormones are released.

This year, seminary is being held at the chapel and Jacob is also attending. So far, so good! No complaints! The timing works well for Jacob as I am able to drop him off at Jack's house on the way home as they like to skate to school together. Jacob likes to get to school early, unlike Ammon!

These are the certificates Ammon received  last year. I would have taken a photo of him holding them, but like his mother, he doesn't particularly like having his photo taken!

I'm unsure why this won't rotate! It's not because it is too big either!
