Valentine’s Day was a bit of a laugh for us girls at work, as we were wondering who would have flowers delivered and who was in BIG trouble! Ashleigh was the first to receive her flowers delivered from Karratha Florist followed by Alex. Alex hadn’t turned up to work yet, so we were waiting with great anticipation as to who bought them for her - she was complaining all week that she didn’t have a valentine! A few hours had passed and then I received mine from Jared. It was totally unexpected, so I was really excited. They were silk flowers, as the florist had run out of red roses – I didn’t mind - I was grateful for anything and
besides, silk flowers are forever! Rhiannon took a photo of our flowers and text it to her
husband telling him she was feeling left out. It was so funny, but I felt so
bad for her at the same time.
I rang Jared that afternoon to thank him for the flowers, he then proceeded to tell me that they weren’t from him! I couldn’t believe it! Who could they be
from? Surely not! Alex was in hysterics, we spent the rest of the day trying to
figure out who it could’ve been! We have
this one guy, Wayne, who comes into the shop every day to have a chat. He’s a
bit different, but a lovely guy, so we thought it may have been him.
Jared picked me up at 7pm as it was late night shopping and
was still trying to convince me that they weren’t from him! He was doing a
great job, he assured me that he wishes they were from him, and he felt bad that
he didn’t get me any! He asked me if I had any regular customers come into the shop that could possibly fancy me! Umm, no! I don't think so! He pulled out a receipt and told me that he had actually put a deposit on the most beautiful French provincial mirror that I had been eyeing off for some time – that was my gift from him, not the flowers. At that point, I started to get teary as I really wished they were from him. He could see it was distressing for me, so he finally gave in and admitted they were from him! He thought the whole saga was rather hilarious! I was so confused I then didn’t believe him! He then produced the receipt to put my mind at ease. Few!
Here is the card.
