Merry Christmas!

I hope that everyone had the most joyful Christmas! This year we celebrated Christmas in Karratha as we had spent a lot of time away during the year. I was disappointed that we couldn't spend it down in Nannup with the rest of our family as it was the first time in many years that everyone would be together.

We started a new family tradition this year. Every Christmas Eve we would all open a gift on Christmas Eve night before we retired to bed. This is at tradition for many catholic families who attend midnight Mass on Christmas Eve.  I have heard of families who give their children pajamas as gifts so when they wake in the morning, they look good for the photos when they are opening the presents in the morning. Haha. I can just imagine the my children's gratitude upon opening pajamas.

Christmas fell on a Sunday this years so we attended church for sacrament (Jared spent the morning in bed after opening presents as he had only had 2 hours sleep) and we spent the rest of the day eating, relaxing and enjoying!

New camera shot. Tommy and his presents.

These two photos were taken with our new camera. The kids got the trampoline and ping pong table a few weeks before Christmas.

 Even little Ned was spoilt!

Christmas this year for me in the gift department was awesome. This is what I received the night before.

Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're going to get!

Since I have been working in a jewelery shop, I have come to love pearls. These are fresh water pearls Jared bought form a gemologist who was visiting town. We only sell fresh water pearls as salt water pearls are rare and very expensive! These were strategically place on my dress frame and I didn't even notice them hanging!

Burrup Fertilisers also gave us a $1000 gift card. We ended up purchasing a Cannon SLR EOS 600D twin lens camera. These photos were taken on my iphone so they aren't the best quality but from now on, we will have much better photos! Yay! You just need a degree in Rocket Science to be able to work it! I'm getting there.
