I have been avoiding doing this blog entry of Jared and Tommy's holiday to the Eastern States because there are just so many photos! They went back in August, to attend James and Laels wedding. Jared took Tommy because he wanted to spend some one on one time with him. Tommy was stoked. He had three weeks off school and got to go on the adventure of a lifetime. We also had a 4 wheel drive to pick up in Sydney that Jared had bought on ebay. I dropped them off at the airport early morning demanding lots of photos of my Tommy Tuckers because I was going to miss him! I did miss him. Although, I couldn’t believe how quiet the house was! No one for Olea to argue with! Anyway, here are masses of photos, beginning in Sydney, where they picked up our new car and drove down the coast to Melbourne and across to Adelaide, followed by a flight to Tasmania to visit his parents and sister.

Strictly speaking this is called the Giant Koala, and at 14 metres, I suppose you could say it's bigger than big. You can find it on the Western Highway in the Grampians, between Melbourne and Adelaide.Yes, you can go inside the Koala for all the usual tourist goodies. The 1970s and 80s were boom years for the building of Big Things, and the Big/Giant Koala was completed in 1989. Tommy never went inside but he just HAD to have a photo!
Interesting beach front apartments in Glenelg with a giant shark mouth for the entrance.

Glenrowen is a thriving little tourist town, catering for those wishing to see the place where Ned Kelly made his first famous 'Last Stand' or to re-live the excitement of the seige at the computerised animated theatre. There are two museums (for those wishing to learn the history surrounding the 'Kelly outbreak).
Ah, this is such a classic photo! Tommy is completely oblivious to the evil intentions of his father taking this photo outside bras and things! Big smile for the camera Tommy! Haha
Tommy in his 'element' at this Melbourne Skate board shop. Jacob was exceedingly jealous and he too wanted a new skateboard! Spoiled is Tommy!
Jared visited his cousin Adam and his wife Nadia in Melbourne. Tommy is pictured here with his cute little second cousin Ella.

Our little Nedstar guy! On their way home, Jared and Tommy stopped in Kalgoorlie and bought the most adorable little shihtzu puppy. Yay! Tommy named him Ned. Of course. He is the most adorable little dog on the planet and we love him!
