Introducing Polly and Tweety

A few weeks ago we looked after a little shiatsu called Bella for 2 weeks. I never really was a fan of these fluffy little things however Bella was just *the* most beautiful dog I have ever looked after. Just so obedient! Olea was very excited as we didn't have any pets at this stage so it was a real novelty to her. The first day we got her she had bathed it, walked it, ran around outside with it, dressed it and even wanted to paint her claws. Hmmm, I don't think so! If you know me well, you would know that I do not like animals in the house because I think they are stinky things and they leave hair everywhere. Within 4 days, Bella would sleep between Olea and I when Jared was on night shift.

When Olea found out that Jeremy and Tanya were coming to pick up Bella, Olea was devastated. I wanted to get a dog for her however Jared wasn't keen as we are always going away and would need someone to look after it. I thought about getting a cat or a rabbit but I ended up getting a bright yellow budgie called Polly and a little white Finch called Tweety. They are both girls and they go well together in the same cage. Very quiet little birds though! Believe it or not, this is because they are female! Haha. It's the males apparently that are the loud chirpers!

I really wanted to get a beautiful french provincial cage like the one below however we are very limited here in K town so the next best thing was the white round one. Oh well, when we go away at the end of the year I will hunt around for a beautiful aviary.
